Other double winners included Hayden Zillmer at 98lbs, Kyle Ballard at 105lbs, Patrick Levasseur at 119lbs, Eric Yngsdal at 145lbs, Kevin Steinhaus at 160lbs and Jake Kahnke 215lbs. By claiming double state championships these wrestlers have also secured spots for themselves on both the Greco-Roman and Freestyle rosters for the 2008 ASICS/USA Wrestling Junior National Championships held at the Fargo Dome (Fargo, ND)  in late July.  All state champions have also secured spots for themselves on the Minnesota Storm teams that will compete in the USA Wrestling Junior National Duals in their respective styles. 

 

Levasseur, Yngsdal, Steinhaus, Rutt and Kahnke are all Triple Crown Winners as well having won both legs of this weekends tournaments in addition to having won state high school titles back in March. 

 

While James Locke and Trey Bertram were not double state champions they were double finalists and each won a state title...at the same weight.  Locke won the Greco-Roman title with Bertram avenging that loss in the Freestyle finals.  Double finalists in addition to those previously mentioned included Jacoby Bergeron, Ryan Schroepfer, Nate Lecy (Freestyle champion), Matthew Kelliher, Justing Lavalle (Freestyle champion), Robert Fisher (Greco-Roman champion) and Ryan Madson (Greco-Roman champion)
